As it may be presumed from the very nomenclature, that Yuvasakthi believes in empowerment of the downtrodden and distressed people, particularly the rural poor who cannot raise voice for redress of their grievances and find a reasonable solution.
Yuvasakthi was established in 2001 and registered under the Indian Societies Registration Act 1860 at Port Blair, Capital of Andaman & Nicobar Islands Union Territory of India as a non-profitable, social organization in the year 2003 and the Registration No. is 1146. Andaman & Nicobar Islands are located at the Southern-most tip of India with 547 Islands which is spread over an area of 8249 Sq.Km with 46 inhabited islands. It has 3 districts and with a population of around 3,43,125 (Male-161500& Female-181625) and the capital city Port Blair is 1375Kms away from Chennai and 1301Kms from Kolkatta.

The main objectives of this organization is to organize and implement all constructive activities to promote, develop and support the people of rural and sub urban areas of the A & N Islands especially the women and youth for achieving prosperous and economically sustainable livelihood.
We are committed for creating self-employment opportunities and bringing confidence and self reliance amongst the economically vulnerable sector of women and youth both in rural and sub urban areas. Yuvasakthi has chalked out regular programmes to organize needy people, provide them need based training, arrange for Micro Credit facility and all sorts of assistance to improve their income and livelihood.
Our constant goal is to change the ill-fate of the people hailed from economically weaker section by imparting them in job oriented training and assisting them in their capacity building by promoting their skill and knowledge in such trades which can facilitate them a permanent livelihood and/or making them Self reliant and independent. We are determined in our commitment to provide them respectful micro finance so as to enable them to enter into the venture of income generating activities.
